Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care patients with diet orders, tray delivery, and meal service. You will liaise between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services to ensure accurate diet care and timely service.

Responsibilities include collecting patient preferences, communicating needs, maintaining sanitation, and supporting clinical staff to meet nutrition goals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service and delivers nourishments as ordered.
• May obtain patient food preferences or dislikes from patients or family members.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures nutrition diet care orders are provided by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and follows cleaning schedules; completes sanitation tasks as assigned.
• Inventory and restock pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance when errors are observed.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
