Advocate Health is hiring for a hospital Dietary Service position in Illinois. The role involves preparing meals, serving patients and staff, stocking kitchenettes, and ensuring safe handling and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.

You will interact with patients to assist with menu choices, monitor temperatures, and maintain dietary procedures. The successful candidate will work 100% on site with standard hospital shifts and participate in mandatory trainings.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work well with others and be customer-oriented.
• Follow safety, sanitation and health department regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and assembles food per recipes and guidelines.
• Monitors and documents food temperatures.
• Stocks patient floor kitchenettes and nourishments.
• Serves food with proper portion control and safe temperatures.
• Manages area supplies and replenishes as needed.
• Distributes meals and snacks per dietary procedures.
• Operates dish machine; cleans and sanitizes equipment.
• Performs routine cleaning and waste disposal.
• Interacts with patients to assist with menu selections respecting diet prescriptions.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards.
• Participates in in-services and mandatory hospital trainings.
• Reports patient safety events and near misses as required.
