Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a part-time Room Service Host to support patient meal service at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. You will coordinate meal selections, enter orders in the CBORD system, and ensure timely delivery of meals and nourishments while maintaining a clean work environment.

You will communicate with patients and staff about dietary needs and special requests, and may cover duties of a Room Service Call Representative as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Strong basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff and family to obtain meal selections in CBORD.
• Enter and update meal orders, preferences, and special requests in CBORD system.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and handle waste disposal per policies.
• Deliver patient nourishments, snacks and tube feeding products.
• Assist with missed meal reports and coordinate with dietitians as needed.
