Job summary

Banner Health's BUMC Phoenix location is seeking a Room Service Attendant for daytime full-time shifts (6am-2:30pm, five days per week) with weekend differential. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble meals, and deliver trays while upholding service quality and safety standards.

You will coordinate with Dietitians and Diet Techs, handle patient requests, and provide courteous, accurate service in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal communication and a friendly customer service attitude.
• Reading, writing and mathematical skills are required.
• Food handlers' card required within 30 days of hire for Banner Staffing Services.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients to obtain or discuss menu selections and record daily meal choices.
• Assemble and portion patient meals according to dietary orders and assist with tray setup.
• Deliver meals and respond to patient requests and dietary modifications as needed.
• Maintain food handling and sanitation standards in accordance with regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service on the phone or in person and resolve complaints.
• Collaborate with Diet Techs and Dietitians and coordinate with nursing staff as required.
