Job summary

Banner Health in Glendale, AZ is hiring a Registry/Per Diem Dietary Aide to support patient meal service and coordination with Dietetic Technicians and Dietitians. Shifts are variable and part-time, with weekend and night differentials where applicable.

As a valued team member, you will assemble patient trays, record meal selections, and maintain food safety standards while delivering courteous service to patients and families.

Qualifications

Food handlers card required within 30 days of hire.
Effective interpersonal communication and friendly customer service.
Ability to learn and follow safety guidelines for cleaning chemicals.
Ability to learn and operate point of sale systems.
Bilingual skills preferred in some assignments.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

Responsibilities

Visit patients to discuss menu selections and record daily meal choices.
Modify menus for diets and refer to Diet Tech or Dietitian when needed.
Prepare and portion foods and set up tray work stations.
Deliver meals and accommodate special requests.
Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints.
Maintain food handling and sanitation to meet licensing requirements.
Collaborate with patients, families, and staff to follow dietary routines.
