Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Logistics Specialist to manage intake of referrals, respond to inquiries, and coordinate patient transfers and admissions. This onsite role supports the Patient Logistics Center and requires prompt, accurate information flow to clinicians and care teams.

The position emphasizes critical thinking for patient flow and efficient bed management, with a weekend-rotation schedule and 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Call Center / Transfer Center / Bed Management experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responds to phone calls with urgency and strong customer service.
• Gathers initial information to open cases and provides clinical packets for clinicians.
• Coordinates resources to support patient disposition and admissions.
• Maintains bed availability inventory and tracks transfers and transports.
• Provides status updates to customers on patient cases and bed requests.
• Supports scheduling and prioritization of discharge transports.
