Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Logistic Coordinator to support the Patient Logistics Center. The role involves rapid response to calls, gathering initial case information, and coordinating with clinicians for patient care and disposition.

Qualifications include an associate degree or higher and experience in acute care or behavioral health settings, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Requires flexibility and weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred, especially ED.
• Understanding how patient populations move through hospital settings.
• Experience in Behavioral Health preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to phone calls with urgency and good customer service.
• Gather initial information to open new case and prepare clinical packets.
• Maintain knowledge of staff, services and programs.
• Locate available resources and coordinate information for patient disposition and admissions.
• Maintain bed availability inventory for non-HCA bed placements.
• Facilitate hospital transfers and transports via phone and computer applications.
• Provide updates on status of patient case and bed placement requests.
• Assist with scheduling and prioritizing discharge transports and support the Patient Logistics Center.
