HCA Healthcare is seeking a Patient Logistics Specialist to join our team and coordinate patient transfers, bed availability, and discharge transports. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and familiarity with medical terminology to support clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities include handling urgent phone calls, gathering clinical information for assessments, and ensuring timely updates to customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Prefer experience in an acute care setting (e.g., ED).
• Understand how patient populations move through a hospital.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Respond to phone calls with urgency and strong customer service.
• Gather initial information to open new case and prepare clinical information for clinicians.
• Maintain awareness of facility medical staff, services and programs.
• Locate resources and coordinate information to support patient disposition or admissions.
• Monitor bed availability within the community for non-HCA bed placements.
• Assist with accepting, tracking and facilitating hospital transfers and transports.
• Provide status updates to customers on patient case progress.
• Schedule and prioritize discharge transports and support the Patient Logistics Center.
