Job summary

Violet Health in Michigan seeks an Intake & Billing Specialist to verify insurance eligibility, complete patient intake, and oversee accurate medical billing and claims submission as part of the revenue cycle team.

You will coordinate with payers for prior authorizations, enter charges, manage denials, and communicate billing policies to patients, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate data in the EHR system. Competitive salary, benefits, PTO, and 401(k) from January 2027.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of infusion intake, coding, and billing experience.
• Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR platforms, medical billing software, Google Workspace, Slack, Rippling and Weinfuse.
• Understanding of ICD-10/CPT coding, prior authorization workflows, and payer rules.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and patient-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and process patient intake before appointments.
• Coordinate with payers for pre-authorizations and coverage confirmations.
• Enter charges, compile electronic claims, and submit bills per coding guidelines.
• Track claim statuses, resolve denials, and handle appeals.
• Explain billing policies, out-of-pocket estimates, and copays to patients.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and input accurate data in the EHR system.
