Responsibilities include coordinating prior authorizations, entering charges, and tracking claims while communicating policies clearly to patients. A HIPAA‑compliant environment and proficient EHR usage are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare infusion intake, infusion coding, and infusion billing.
• Hands‑on experience with EHR/EMR platforms, medical billing software, Google Workspace, Slack, Rippling, and Weinfuse.
• Understanding of ICD-10/CPT coding, prior authorization workflows, and payer rules.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate, patient‑first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and complete patient intake.
• Coordinate pre-authorizations and coverage confirmations with payers.
• Enter charges, compile electronic claims, and submit medical bills per guidelines.
• Track claim statuses, resolve denials, and manage appeals.
• Explain billing policies, estimates, and copays to patients empathetically.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate data input in the EHR system.
