Job summary

MedStar Health at Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a Patient and Guest Relations representative for a full-time day shift. You will welcome patients and visitors, provide information and directions, and may coordinate transportation or escorts as needed.

You may issue ID badges to associates, vendors and contractors, monitor entrances, and assist with parking while resolving patient or guest issues through advocacy channels and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years job-related experience preferred.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Organization and ability to handle rapid multi-task situations.
• General office experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors to the hospital and provides information and directions.
• May coordinate transportation services or escort patients/guests as needed.
• Accesses computer terminal for patient information regarding admissions, transfers and discharges.
• May issue photo identification badges to associates, vendors and contractors.
• Oversees entrances and assists guests, including parking coordination when needed.
• May arrange overnight accommodations and guest services such as wake-up calls and transportation.
