Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience by supporting eye examinations and patient interactions. You will assist the optometrist, collect medical history, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a patient-centered approach.

The role requires strong customer service, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication and listening abilities.
• Problem solving ability and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Obtain medical history and prep patients; explain measurements and questions.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with accuracy and discretion (HIPAA).
• Input patient data, insurance information and services into CIAO with correct fees.
• Maintain patient records and ensure a clean, organized examination area.
• Support retention efforts (phone reminders, follow-ups) and assist retail as capacity allows.
