LensCrafters is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician to deliver high-quality eye care alongside the optometrist. You will support the patient journey from check-in to examination prep, ensuring accurate data entry and meticulous handling of patient records in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail optical setting.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
Perform a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations. Obtain medical history and prepare patient for examination.
Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs and consult as needed.
Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers/patients.
Perform work accurately and thoroughly under time pressure.
Identify unsatisfied patients and act quickly for resolution.
Explain measurements and pre-examination testing to patients.
Maintain HIPAA-compliant filing of patient records.
Input patient data, insurance information, and services into CIAO system.
Maintain inventory of supplies and contacts; assist retail as needed.
