Job summary

AEG Vision in Waite Park, Minnesota is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and excellent patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses and treatments, ensure proper fit, and communicate progress from order to delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, product knowledge, and HIPAA-compliant handling of prescriptions and patient data while contributing to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise patients on eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Take and record accurate measurements; ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Enter prescriptions into the EHR and ALE systems accurately.
• Provide exceptional patient service and handle order status communications.
