Puget Sound Pain Clinic in Tukwila is seeking a Medical Receptionist for the Tukwila Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will be the first and last contact for patients, handling a busy front desk with warmth, professionalism, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling, handling check-ins/outs, collecting co-pays, updating insurance, answering calls, and maintaining accurate records. Experience with EMR and a customer-service focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, professional, and able to provide excellent customer service in a busy medical office environment.
• Well organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Proficient with computers and electronic medical records; capable of multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
• Schedule new and existing patient appointments.
• Check patients in and out and collect co-pays.
• Verify and update patient insurance and demographic information.
• Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; take messages and provide information.
• Contact patients regarding missed appointments and pre-operative appointments.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records and paperwork.
• Scan, file, and process medical documents.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized reception area and lobby.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Assist with other administrative and front-office duties as needed.
