Job summary

HHM Health in Mesquite, TX seeks a Front Office Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients and families, delivering exceptional service in a child-friendly clinic environment. You will manage front desk operations and support administrative functions to ensure a welcoming, organized experience.

The role requires a pleasant, professional demeanor, the ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience, preferably in a community-based clinic.
• Strong MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Experience with eCW or similar electronic medical record system.
• Comfort level interacting with all individuals; customer service oriented.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
• Ensure waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Treat patients with courtesy and respect by phone and in person.
• Ensure patients are scheduled for care and tended to in a timely manner.
• Partner with medical staff to resolve patient concerns.
• Collaborate with enrollment and care teams to enhance the new patient experience.
• Verify insurance coverage and financial assistance available for patients.
• Ensure patients are up to date with accounts.
