Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources in Texas is seeking a compassionate non-exempt medical office professional to manage front office processes in the physician practice. The role focuses on greeting patients, handling calls, scheduling, insurance verification, and guiding patients through the portal.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (medical office assistant program preferred) and at least two years of customer service, ideally in a medical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.
• Healthcare management/administration certification preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients entering the physician practice.
• Answer office phones, make, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Check in patients, collect demographics, enter data into the system, and verify insurance.
• Assist in checking out patients and processing referrals and scheduling.
• Collect co-pays and post charges.
• Perform charge entry and patient balance processing.
• Disseminate information about office policies and procedures to patients.
• Explain and enroll patients in the patient portal.

Education
