Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Upton is seeking a Band 3 Patient Flow Transfer Clerk to support movement, discharge and escalation activities across inpatient and emergency pathways. You will work closely with ward teams and multidisciplinary staff to maintain safe patient flow.

The role also includes providing direct clinical support, performing ECGs and venepuncture where trained, and assisting with personal care tasks while following Trust policies and competency

Qualifications

• Band 3 level with relevant NHS competencies.
• Experience in patient flow, discharge support or similar clinical roles.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient movement and discharge processes to maintain flow.
• Provide direct clinical support to assist care teams on inpatient and emergency pathways.
• Perform ECGs, venepuncture and cannulation where trained and competent.
• Report updates from healthcare professionals to the Hospital Clinical Coordinator.
• Support routine personal care tasks to aid patient flow and mobilise patients safely.
