Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMS credential preferred.
• Computer experience required.
• Hospital and/or business office experience with focus in patient logistics preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow into, through and out of Cape Fear Valley Health System.
• Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate patient placement and transfers.
• Receives physician orders on new admissions/transfers.
• Monitors bed availability and coordinates bed placement, transfers, and discharges.
• Serves as a liaison for patients, families, physicians, and staff related to patient transfers, bed availability and patient flow issues.
• Collaborates with Nursing Leadership, Care Coordination, and Units to facilitate patient throughput.
• Utilizes technology to expedite patient flow through the health system.
