Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist course required or 2 years surgical experience required.
• 2 years experience as surgical technologist in operating room preferred.
• 2 years experience utilizing an automated block scheduling system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Extracts patient demographic data into operating room scheduling system.
• Monitors schedules for discrepancies and contacts appropriate service.
• Determines order in which patients are scheduled based on various factors.
• Adjusts operating room schedules as needed and communicates changes.
• Schedules pre-admission appointments and informs physician office.
• Collaborates with management for potential database maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
