You will interact with physicians, patients, and staff to ensure accurate preparation, arrival, and timing. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, professional phone etiquette, and strong communication while utilizing scheduling and registration systems and maintaining up-to-date coding knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete Orlando Health medical terminology course within 90 days of hire.
• One year of retail, customer service or health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information of department/procedure specific scheduling criteria to expedite patient preparation, arrival location and time.
• Be proactive with all customers by actively listening, showing a caring attitude and offering alternatives when necessary.
• Demonstrate superb telephone etiquette, team player attitude and professional communication skills at all times.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Maintain a basic understanding of ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes as needed for scheduling.
• Review schedules daily and communicate changes to appropriate staff.
• Identify customer service issues and resolve or follow up as needed.
