Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative to greet patients and guarantors in hospital, ambulatory or medical office settings. You will verify demographics, insurance eligibility, and explain financial policies, collecting payments and ensuring proper documentation.

The role requires strong customer service, communication and accuracy, with potential for travel among Memorial locations. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Complexity of Work requires excellent communication, critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• No experience required; one year of related hospital, medical office, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service and addresses questions in a timely, courteous manner.
• Gathers demographic, financial and insurance information; explains policies and obtains signatures.
• Verifies insurance benefits, obtains authorization, and confirms coverage is active.
• Collects patient out‑of‑pocket amounts and provides patient estimates as requested.
• Prepares and balances a daily deposit of all payment collections.
