Qualifications

• 2+ years of job-related experience in financial counseling, patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance verification, authorization/pre-certification or related healthcare experience.
• 1+ years of similar experience in financial counseling, patient access, billing, insurance verification, authorization/pre-certification or healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient interviews and enter information into Epic.
• Interact with patients to determine eligibility for financial assistance and third-party payer programs.
• Verify third party payer information and obtain authorizations for procedures.
• Communicate with patients about discounts and financial responsibility.
• Resolve billing inquiries and adjust accounts to ensure proper collections.
