Duke Health is seeking a Financial Care Counselor within the PRMO to support patient accounts, verify insurance requirements, inform patients of their financial liability, and arrange payment options. You will analyze coverage, obtain authorizations, and guide patients through billing processes with a strong focus on accuracy and compassionate service.

Join a centralized revenue cycle team that partners with care providers across the system to optimize financial clearance and access for patients

Competenze

Excellent communication and written skills are required.
Ability to analyze relationships with patients, physicians, coworkers and supervisors; manage multiple tasks.
Ability to understand and comply with policies and procedures.

Analyze insurance coverage and benefits for services to ensure timely processing.
Obtain authorizations based on insurance plans and guidelines.
Document billing activities in the system and explain bills to patients.
Facilitate payment options and assist patients with financial counseling.
