Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience verifying patient demographics and insurance information preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with excellent communication and telephone etiquette.
• Familiarity with CPT and diagnosis coding preferred.
• Ability to professionally collect patient payments and discuss financial responsibilities.
• Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism when handling sensitive financial and patient information.

Responsabilités

• Deliver excellent patient centered service by facilitating established financial processes for billing and collection of professional services.
• Enter charges; applying coding/billing rules; maximizing collections; verifying insurance; obtaining authorizations for services; reviewing patient account detail; financial counseling of patients.
• Accountable for resolution of front-end edits, rejections, and information requests to achieve practice goals.
• Interacts directly with internal and external customers of the practice.
• May be required to float to other UFHP practices or flex time, as needed, for staffing.
