Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide a full range of front-desk, scheduling and payment services, ensuring a positive patient experience. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a variable schedule, onsite at our Akron location.

You will greet patients and families, collect co-pays, schedule visits and tests, manage patient communications, and support efficient office operations while upholding HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families at the front desk with a friendly, caring demeanor.
• Perform point-of-service activities including visit preparation and co-pay collection.
• Schedule patient visits and diagnostic testing using hospital procedures and resources.
• Manage third-party payors and co-pay collections.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and ensure accurate, timely communications.
