Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; answer phones; check-in, registration, and check-out; verify insurance; schedule appointments; prepare and review charts.
• Maintain professional communication with staff and providers regarding patient needs.
• Keep a pleasant and cooperative demeanor while performing duties.
• Welcome patients and visitors; respond to inquiries in person or by phone.
• Optimize scheduling to improve patient satisfaction and provider time.
• Notify providers of patient arrivals and monitor service delays to stay on schedule.
• Support patients by addressing anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining the reception area.
• Maintain patient records and accounts with accurate demographic and financial information.
• Manage business office inventory and equipment, including ordering supplies as needed.
• Assist in emergencies and protect patient confidentiality.
• Follow policies, report changes, and contribute to team results.
