Job summary

Advanced Urology Institute is seeking a Patient Service Representative II to deliver top-tier patient care and clerical support. You will handle scheduling, registration, co-pays, and billing while coordinating with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The role requires 2–3 years of customer service in a medical setting, strong MS Office and EMR skills, and knowledge of health insurance processes. Prior urology exposure is a plus, and professionalism is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ customer service experience required. Experience in a medical office; specifically, urology, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to patient services staff, providing guidance on more complex issues/concerns.
• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics, collecting detailed personal and financial information.
• Collects outstanding patient balances.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations when required.
• Scans incoming faxes and patient information into the chart.
• Generates batch transmittal reports for each day.
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying providers of arrival and delays.
• Schedules follow-up services and office visits, including surgery or imaging when needed.
• Responds to inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Keeps medical office supplies stocked and monitors equipment.
• Protects PHI and logs off when unattended.
• Ensures proper handoffs of responsibilities.
