Job summary

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to deliver exceptional patient experiences from arrival to departure, including triage, registration, and insurance verification. You will support scheduling, education on MyChart, and enrollment in Appointment Pass while promoting front-end technology.

You will attend a 2-week EPIC training on-site before assuming your assigned schedule; training is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years in patient registration, scheduling, insurance processing, or customer service; OR an Associate’s with 1+ year; OR a Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service and conflict Resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive, proactive patient and visitor experience (Patients First).
• Triage and resolve patient issues using the HEART model.
• Assist patients with phone triage, registration, insurance eligibility, and co-pay collection.
• Facilitate scheduling, referrals, and interpreter services as needed.
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information and manage MyChart enrollment.
