Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Patient Services Representative for RWJBH Orthopedics in Livingston, NJ. The role centers on delivering an exceptional patient experience, managing front desk duties, and supporting day-to-day clinic operations.

You will check in/out patients, schedule visits, review information, and coordinate insurance tasks while protecting patient privacy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two years front desk receptionist or scheduling experience.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems; EPIC preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus (English/Spanish).
• Travel to Millburn anchor office for coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out patients with professionalism and compassion.
• Review schedules and prepare for patient visits.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Answer routine questions in person and by phone with excellent service.
• Perform clerical tasks: copying, scanning, faxing, mail distribution.
• Maintain patient health records and ensure privacy and accuracy.
• Coordinate with insurers, handle pre-authorizations and certifications.
