Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Bridgewater Medical Group in New Jersey. You will greet patients, handle check-in/out, manage schedules, coordinate with insurance providers, and maintain patient records with accuracy and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical receptionist or general office environment preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and performing check-in/check-out with professionalism and compassion.
• Reviewing schedules and ensuring necessary information is available for visits.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up visits.
• Answering routine questions in person and over the phone with excellent service.
• Performing clerical tasks including copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and mail distribution.
• Creating and organizing patient health records.
• Coordinating with insurance providers and handling pre-authorizations as needed.
• Protecting patient privacy and contributing to a safe, welcoming practice environment.
