RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for the Barnabas Health Medical Group in Florham Park, NJ. This role supports the internal medicine department by greeting patients, registering them, and coordinating visits with a patient-centered approach to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include check-in/out, scheduling, and ensuring accuracy in patient records while maintaining privacy and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevance of medical receptionist experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is beneficial.
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients with professionalism and compassion.
• Review schedules and prepare for patient visits.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups.
• Answer routine questions in person or by phone with excellent service.
• Handle clerical tasks: copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, mail distribution.
• Maintain and organize patient health records.
• Coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorizations as needed.
• Protect patient privacy and ensure a welcoming practice environment.
