Job summary

Jane Pauley Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact with patients in person and by phone.

The role involves scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and maintaining a warm, patient-friendly environment across JPCHC sites. The position requires flexibility to support multiple sites, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office practices is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• At least two years in ambulatory healthcare preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between practice sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families professionally.
• Schedule appointments and manage inbound calls.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance in EHR.
• Determine eligibility for financial assistance programs and collect documents.
• Collect co-payments and follow money handling procedures.
• Assist with medical record requests and communications within one business day.
• Maintain waiting area cleanliness and organization.
• Participate in department and organizational meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
