Job summary

The Jane Pauley Community Health Center, Inc is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, handling scheduling, registration, and insurance verification. This float position covers multiple JPCHC sites and requires reliable transportation and flexibility to support different practice sites.

You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, determine financial assistance eligibility, and manage copayments while maintaining a welcoming

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office practices required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• At least two years of ambulatory healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly and travel between practice sites as needed.
• Basic computer literacy and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families in a professional and friendly manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage inbound calls.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR.
• Determine eligibility for financial assistance programs and obtain required documentation.
• Collect patient co-payments and follow money handling procedures.
• Assist with medical record requests, correspondence, and message response within one business day.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient waiting area.
• Participate in departmental and organizational meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
