Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is hiring a Patient Service Representative to join our Atlanta clinic. You will handle patient check-in, verify insurance, manage a multi-line phone system, and assist with medical records filing while collecting co-pays and cash payments.

The 40-hour workweek includes Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM and Friday 7:30 AM–1:00 PM (variable). We value friendly, organized professionals who deliver excellent patient service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties.
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Scans documents into electronic health record.
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter.
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments.
• Schedules follow up appointments as needed.
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record.
• Orders clinic office supplies.
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
• Distributes mail.
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.
