Job summary

United Health Services in New York's Southern Tier is seeking a Patient Experience Associate at CMH to greet patients, schedule appointments, complete registration, verify insurance, and collect payments. You will help keep Epic records accurate and support front-end operations with a patient-centric approach.

As part of Physician Services, you’ll collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, comply with HIPAA and regulatory standards, and travel between locations when required,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Driver license preferred.
• At least 1 year of customer/patient-facing experience.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience in the healthcare industry.
• Up to 1 year of technical/systems experience using specialized tools, software, or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in person, by phone, and electronically to create a welcoming and supportive patient experience.
• Register patients, scheduling, and insurance verification according to policies and accuracy standards.
• Provide information on appointments, wait times, and services to support visit flow and satisfaction.
• Collect point-of-service payments, including copays and balances.
• Maintain patient records by scanning and documenting information in Epic.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support coordinated patient care.
