Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a Patient Service Representative for the Boise Pain and Spine Clinic to ensure a smooth patient experience. You will check in patients, collect co-pays, answer calls, schedule appointments, and verify insurance in EPIC as needed.

This is a full-time daytime role with four 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Thursday. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in daily work.
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
• Registers patients for appointments and completes paperwork.
• Verifies and updates existing patient and insurance information.
• Keeps patient appointments on schedule and informs of delays.
