Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative for our SAMG Trauma clinic in Boise, ID. You will handle patient check-ins, co-pays, scheduling, and insurance verification, using EPIC EMR to update records.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a dedication to high-quality patient service. As part of a collaborative team, you will support the Trauma service line and potentially other clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a positive customer service experience.
• Register patients for appointments and complete paperwork.
• Verify and update patient and insurance information.
• Keep appointments on schedule by notifying providers of arrivals.
• Inform patients of delays and explain expected wait times.
• Collect and communicate patient balances for visits and services.
• Assist with Financial Assistance paperwork and payment plans.
