Job summary
Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a patient care support professional to take patient vitals, greet patients, and act as a liaison between the Program and hospital departments. You will escort patients, troubleshoot care delivery issues, and ensure smooth scheduling and flow throughout the day.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, IL-licensed LPN/EMT or CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NAHP certification, and BLS.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Licensure/certification as LPN (IL) or EMT (IL) or CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NCMA/NAHP equivalent is required/preferred.
- AHA BLS certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Take patient vitals and greet patients.
- Assist as liaison between program and hospital/physician offices.
- Escort patients and support care delivery; communicate deviations to leadership.
- Prepare rooms, gather reports, and manage patient scheduling to minimize delays.
- Educate patients on protocols and testing details; collaborate with clinical staff.
