Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Signature Services Coordinator to serve as a client liaison and provide administrative support for care coordination. You will establish professional relationships, ensure open communication, and assist with scheduling, billing inquiries, and care coordination activities.

The role requires healthcare exposure, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with data entry and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Computer experience (data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, electronic medical record system)

Responsibilities

• Internal: Weekly contact with corporate billing office, department manager, site supervisor, physicians, medical assistants.
• Maintains ongoing communication with client regarding status of care, treatment plan, and all related health care needs.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls including calls for scheduling, coordinating tests and results, referrals and billing questions.
• Coordinate the scheduling of various specialist appointments for patients.
• Establish a network of contacts.
• Assist with departmental communication and marketing strategies.
• Manages schedules to make best use of all resources including providers, rooms and equipment.
• Schedules appointments within own department and coordinates appointment scheduling with other departments or organizational partners.
• Performs administrative assistant functions including writing and sending letters and email messages
• Maintains a database of all corporate client profiles.
• Facilitates the resolution/prevention of billing errors and denials – including obtaining pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
