Qualifications

• One year of office experience or equivalent (education substituted for work exp).
• Immunizations per CDC/hospital policy may be required.
• Current Utah driver’s license may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs patients to destinations in person and by phone.
• May assist patients with a check-in kiosk setup and use.
• Schedules appointments and sends reminders; reschedules as needed.
• Completes registration by reviewing accounts and documents for completeness.
• Verifies benefits and eligibility; collects co-pays and co-insurance; addresses billing questions.
• Reconciles cash against daily reports and maintains accurate cash flow.
• Monitors patient flow and communicates changes to staff to optimize efficiency.
• Acts as liaison among patients, guests, back office staff and providers.
• Assists with automated medical record access and handles inventory as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.
