Job summary

This position is located at the Midvalley Health Center in Murray, UT, and may occasionally work at other clinic locations. The incumbent handles patient registration and scheduling, advises patients on financial obligations and payment plans, and ensures accurate information flow between medical staff and departments to create a positive patient experience.

Greet and direct patients, assist with check-in kiosks, schedule appointments, verify benefits, collect co-pays, and monitor cash.

Qualifications

• One year of office experience, customer service experience, or equivalency.
• Immunization per CDC standards and hospital policy may be required.
• HIPAA regulations knowledge and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs patients in person and by phone; anticipates needs.
• Schedules appointments; contacts for rescheduling and reminders.
• Verifies benefits, collects co-pays and handles billing questions.
• Completes registration and obtains missing information.
• Acts as liaison between patients, guests, back office staff and providers.
