Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Hospital/Medical Office Support professional to serve as a Patient Service Representative (PSR). You will greet patients, collect demographics and payments, schedule appointments, and coordinate with medical staff to support a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Checking in patients, verifying and updating information, and directing patients through the visit process.
• Advising patients regarding financial obligations including co-pays, deductibles, and insurance eligibility.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly lobby and keeping patient materials current.
• Coordinating physicians’ schedules and having knowledge of physician specialties and practices.
• Answering phones, returning calls, taking messages, and handling requests with accurate information.
• Managing mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records with accuracy and completeness.
