Job summary

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, PA is seeking a Patient Access Service Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting daily operations in the Patient Access/Business Office.

You will be the primary contact for patients and caregivers, collecting registrations, coordinating with clinicians, and handling payments. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare front office experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic practice management systems.
• Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and caregivers professionally and collect/update demographic & insurance information.
• Enter patient data into the practice management system and ensure registration completeness.
• Coordinate communication between clinical and administrative staff for continuity of care.
• Collect co-pays and other payments; provide receipts and documentation.
• Address patient questions and requests in a timely, service-oriented manner.
• Schedule appointments, including walk-ins, per clinic protocols.
• Perform end-of-day reconciliation, balancing transactions and deposits.
