Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to act as a vital link between patients and medical staff. You will greet patients, collect demographics and payments, and assist with scheduling for existing and new patients across our clinics.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1–2 years in a medical office preferred. Day shifts, hourly pay, and a commitment to patient-centered care are offered at multiple PMC locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• 1–2 years in a medical office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and helpfully.
• Check in/out patients, update information, and keep patients informed of delays.
• Advise patients on financial obligations including co-pays and insurance eligibility.
• Maintain a neat, orderly lobby and up-to-date magazines.
• Coordinate physicians’ schedules and have knowledge of specialties.
• Answer phones, take messages, and provide necessary information.
• Handle mail and medical records with accuracy and completeness.
• Support PMC mission by delivering high-quality patient care.
• A PSR Float may cover locations between Endocrinology and Rheumatology clinics as needed.
