Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the first connection with patients at the Central Orem Clinic. You will greet, check in/out patients, verify information, and help with registrations and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Proficient computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with patients and caregivers to deliver patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect PHI of patients, members and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous, professional connections with patients by phone, in person, or via secure messaging to ensure a superior experience.
• Documents all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating required demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards and IDs and verifies information as needed.
• Assists patients in completing forms for regulatory and billing needs and educates about financial assistance.
• Keeps current on role responsibilities and participates in meetings and communications to maintain high performance.
