Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Sandy, Utah. This front-line role involves greeting patients, handling check-in/out, and accurate data entry in the EMR system while delivering exceptional customer care.

You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect demographic data, and assist with forms for regulatory and billing needs. A professional, confidential approach to PHI is essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

Greet and check-in/out patients in person or over the phone, ensuring accuracy in information.
Document all interactions and appointments in the EMR system.
Schedule patient visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data and guarantor details.
Collect and verify insurance information and obtain signatures on required forms.
Assist patients with forms for regulatory/billing needs and discuss financial options.
