Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first contact for patients, ensuring superior customer/patient satisfaction. You will greet, check-in/out, verify information, and support billing and scheduling tasks in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The role involves EMR data entry, arranging appointments, collecting payments, and helping patients with forms and financial assistance while maintaining PHI privacy.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person or over the phone to ensure a positive experience.
• Document all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and entering required demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtain insurance cards, IDs, and signatures; verify information for insurance coordination of benefits.
