Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Patient Liaison in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. This full-time role focuses on delivering excellent service experiences for patients, coordinating schedules and resources, and advocating for patient needs within the practice.

You will work with providers and staff to ensure treatment plans are followed, assist with data collection on productivity, and help with billing accuracy and referrals as needed. Strong customer service and healthcare awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years healthcare experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Preferred: EMR system experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilités

• Oversee patient service experience and advocate for patients.
• Manage schedules to optimize providers, rooms, and equipment.
• Coordinate care options and track treatment plan compliance.
• Assist with data collection on physician productivity and resource use.
• Resolve billing errors and obtain pre-certifications when needed.
• Register patients and schedule appointments.
• Provide patient education materials.
• Maintain relationships with patients, staff, other hospital departments, physician offices and vendors.
• Answer inquiries from patients and staff about operations.
• Follow up with patients to ensure adherence to tests and prescriptions.
