Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison to uphold its patient-first approach across Oak Brook clinics. You will oversee the service experience, coordinate scheduling, and act as a bridge between patients and care teams to ensure a smooth, respectful encounter for every visit.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of healthcare or customer service experience; a Bachelor’s degree and EMR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years healthcare or customer service experience.
• Experience in a patient-facing role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manages schedules to optimize provider, room, and equipment use.
• Performs schedule maintenance and coordinates care alternatives.
• Communicates with patients and staff to ensure treatment plan compliance.
• Assists with data collection and analysis of physician productivity.
• Facilitates resolution of billing errors and referrals as needed.
• Registers patients and schedules appointments.
• Provides patient education materials and maintains relationships with staff and departments.
• Responds to inquiries related to practice operations.
• Conducts follow-up to ensure adherence to testing and plan of care.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
